SUBMARINES

VADM "Yogi" Kaufman and his son Steve have combined to produce two "coffee table" books about submarines. The first book, "Silent Chase, Submarines of the US Navy", (Thomasson & Grant, 1989) provides an in depth view of life on board each class of ship. "Sharks of Steel" (Naval Institute Press, 1993) was a companion book to a "Discovery Channel" cable TV series of the same name, which covers submarines worldwide. All photographs were cleared by the U.S. Navy prior to publication.
